Had breakfast here. Very cute cafe with amazing food and great service. Food came out fast. I like that they let you order everything a la carte without charging an arm and a leg, perfect for those of with with small stomachs who can't finish a breakfast combo! Coffee was great. They have real butter for those delicious biscuits.
First time eating here. Ordered the small chicken fried chicken with mashed potatoes and green beans. Chicken was cooked perfectly and green beans had good seasoning. Classic cream gravy was yummy. My dining partner had the junior burger and fries. She rarely eats her entire meal and today she did! Service was pleasant and prices are reasonable. I'll definitely return.
I picked up an order to go. Absolutely loved the fries! Burger was pretty good. I cant really speak to the atmosphere, as I didnt dine in, but the wait staff brought my food outside when it was ready. Super friendly folks. I will stop in again.
First time going, it is very good, especially their biscuits. I love the people there.😁
We pulled into this little side‑of‑the‑road diner not expecting much, and ended up blown away. The food wasn’t just good — it was the kind of flavorful, comforting, made‑with‑love cooking you can’t fake. The chicken fried steak came smothered in perfect country gravy, the kind that makes you pause mid‑bite because your brain needs a second to appreciate what just happened. The club sandwich was stacked tall and done right, and that smothered hamburger steak in rich brown gravy was pure, old‑school comfort on a plate. Places like this are the reason you never count out the small spots. They’re still out here serving real food with real flavor, and this one absolutely delivered. We’ll be back without hesitation.
Been here a few times. It’s nice to have a decent restaurant in the area. The crawfish are on point! Smothered steak is pretty good but the roll I got was hard and as rock. Definitely worth the visit though! We’ll be back.
Great food, Great service, and Great prices! My wife came here two mornings in a row while camping nearby. As soon as I walked in, I knew I was in for a good time. This is an old fashion style café. The kind that makes you feel right at home. A song from Kris Kristofferson was playing, and next up was Marty Robbins. I knew the words to every song that was played during our whole stay there. The first time this has ever happened at any restaurant. The menu prices were shockingly low for breakfast, considering how much everything has gone up in the last four years. Most breakfast plates were under $10. The food was good and fresh and there was plenty of it. But the Biscuits! Let me tell you about the Biscuits. I am a southerner, and my mom is a soul food expert. Biscuits and gravy are a way of life for us. The biscuits at the Dam Grill are hands down the best biscuits I have ever tasted in my life. So light and fluffy that they melt in your mouth. If you ever eat here and do not try them, you do not love yourself. LOL! The service was equally great. We got to know all the server ladies. When they found that my wife and I were celebrating our wedding anniversary and were looking for things to do in the area, they all came up and offered advice and told us about some local places of interest. They were so friendly. When we came back the next day, we were treated like hometown locals that had been coming there our whole lives. They called by name and once again took the time to find about how we were enjoying our time in the area and offer advice. It is seldom today in this age that you are made to feel right at home as a tourist in a new town, but the ladies at The Dam Grill made us feel that way. Thank you ladies for making our time there special. Oh, did I mention the biscuits? You have to try them!
We needed some sustenance and found this cute little restaurant. We have the chicken fried steak in the grilled chicken sandwich. Both were delicious Service was friendly restaurant was clean and quaint. Really hope to stop by again.
